Last seen in the Pegasus World Cup, Bob Baffert-trained Collected is entered to run on Saturday’s Grade 1 Pennsylvania Derby undercard in a prep for the Breeders’ Cup Classic.

A 5-year-old son of City Zip, Collected headlines the listed $150,000 Pennsylvania Derby Champion Stakes. Jockey Mike Smith, who’s also making the trip to ride come-backing McKinzie in the Parx Racing feature, will be in the irons.

The race goes as No. 8 on the card with a post time of 3:41 p.m. ET. Among his eight rivals is multiple stakes winner Sunny Ridge.

Speedway Stable’s Collected is 8-2-1 in 14 career starts with his signature win in last year’s Grade 1 Pacific Classic, which he took over stablemate Arrogate. Baffert sent the horse for a freshening following his seventh-place run in the Jan. 27 Pegasus at Gulfstream Park.

Collected’s first workout back came on Aug. 16 at Del Mar. On Monday, he breezed a half mile in 47.20 seconds at Santa Anita Park ahead of his trip East to Pennsylvania.

The latest Breeders’ Cup Classic odds offered by the Wynn Las Vegas list Collected as a 10-1 co-fourth choice.
