THE QUEEN could have a royal runner on Arc weekend with Winter Hill Stakes winner Fabricate.
The consistent gelding scraped home in the Group 3 at Windsor last weekend and is likely to head to Longchamp for the Prix Dollar.
Trainer Michael Bell believes the mile-and-a-quarter test could be perfect for the son of Makfi, who will step up to Group 2 level for the first time in his career.
The contest is one of very few left in the calendar open to geldings, and the trainer feels the French route is the best option.
He said: “He appears to be fine after winning at Winsdor. It was very satisfying to win the race again.
“There aren’t many options for him.

“He’s entered in the Prix Dollar and I would have thought if he is going to run again that would be where he’ll run.
“There’s not much point carrying a penalty in other races like Group Threes because it’s nigh on impossible.”
If taking his chance, Fabricate would attempt to emulate notable past winners Cirrus Des Aigles and Flemensfirth.
