IT’S an Alco frolic at Cheltenham today.

BARON ALCO looked a class act when winning the BetVictor Gold Cup here last time and can follow up in the 1.55.

His jumping was superb as he led most of the way over course and distance before pulling out more up the run-in.

The handicapper has been fair with a 6lb rise in the weights and he has bags of improvement to come after missing last season.

Frodon chased him home last time and should be right on the premises again, while Rather Be was second in the Close Brothers Chase at the Festival before being brought down behind the tip last time.

He’s a live contender, while Full Glass, Foxtail Hill and last year’s winner Guitar Pete all look overpriced.

RAT can bite the bookies in Cheltenham’s 3.40.

RATOUTE YUTTY made a promising start on her debut for the Skeltons at Ascot last time out.

She was coming back from a year off there and travelled well for a long way despite not being asked too many questions from the saddle.

Finishing fourth – six lengths behind the winner – was an excellent effort and confirmed that her breathing operation had helped.

Wizard’s magic tips…

EACH-WAY DOUBLE: NELSON RIVER (12.10 Cheltenham) and RESHOUN (12.55 Newcastle).

Connections are taking no chances by fitting a tongue tie today and it should be all systems go with no concerns about fitness.

Her form in Ireland is promising and she had plenty in hand when winning a Navan hurdle before moving yards. The handicapper has been fair with an opening mark of 122 that puts her right in the frame for this.

It would be great to see The New One win a fourth International Hurdle at 3.05 but he was very flat on comeback at Ffos Las and needs all his old spark.

Summerville Boy was another to struggle last time and we’ll go with SILVER STREAK who should really have won the Greatwood Hurdle here last time.

He was asked to come from a long way back in that prestigious handicap and the line came too soon, with him a neck behind the winner. He loves decent ground and just needs to be a little closer to the pace today.
