THE WHITE MOUSE (2.10 Leicester) looked a nice prospect when winning on her hurdling debut at Lingfield last time out.
She travelled like a quality performer and can be forgiven one or two mistakes given she hadn’t jumped an obstacle before.
She is stepping up in class here but looks more than capable of managing that with plenty of improvement expected.
CHEF D’EQUIPE (1.10 Leicester) is a winning chaser who came back to hurdling to win by 29 lengths at Taunton last time out.
That was over a similar trip to this, which suits well, and he has no issue with a bit of cut in the ground.
He has few miles on the clock over timber so there should be more to come.
FALCON SUN (3.10 Leicester) clocked a personal best when winning over course and distance last time out.
He has been raised 7l for that convincing success when this short trip seemed to bring out the best in him. He is taking a drop in class here so should have enough quality to figure again.
Wizard’s Magic Tips
EACH-WAY DOUBLE: KATEBIRD (4.15 Leicester) has plenty of placed form off this mark and put in another decent effort at Doncaster last time.
Pair her with STRAIGHT RIGHT (5.15 Newcastle) who was an excellent second at Lingfield and will be happy over this shorter distance.
ZUBAYR (4.10 Newcastle) did really well to finish third at Kempton last time despite meeting trouble in running.
He made up a lot of ground in the closing stages and will hopefully be a little closer to the pace today.
The handicapper has left his mark alone and it will be interesting to see what effect the cheekpieces have today.
