Who is running in the 2018 Cheltenham Gold Cup?

What are the top tips for the race?

Matt Chapman

Regular readers of my Sun column are sitting on two ante-post vouchers in the race at double figure odds, namely Native River (12-1) and Our Duke (16-1) and nothing that has happened this week will change my mind!

Both are strong stayers, and while Native River is a better jumper on paper, Our Duke is well capable of cutting out mistakes.

I find it hard to believe that at least one of them won’t make the frame, possibly both.

Native River is fresh after just one run this season, while Our Duke has got better with each run for Jessica Harrington since issues earlier in the campaign. Fingers crossed.

GO with the River of dreams in the Timico Cheltenham Gold Cup.

NATIVE RIVER was a gallant third behind Sizing John in this race 12 months ago and he had a much easier campaign this season.

Colin Tizard’s ace wasn’t seen until scooting home at Newbury last month and that was a perfect prep for today’s contest.
