Nick Shiambouros hopes to end his current stint in the tipping chair with a couple of winners from Wincanton and Ludlow…
Thistle Do Nicely should go close despite his big weight in this interesting contest.
This gelding finished fourth to the talented Angels Breath at Ascot last month. He ran on fairly well in the closing stages, but never had a realistic chance of delivering a challenge. He had previously won a couple of hurdles races in great style, and will appreciate the return to novice company. At present he is trading at [3.55] on the exchange.
The mare Elusive Belle finished second in a Listed bumper at Gowran Park last October. She makes her debut for top connections, and is the main danger. At present she is trading at [2.84] on the exchange.
Reve should find the opposition more to his liking in this maiden hurdle.
This gelding finished down the field behind Ask Dillon at Ascot last month. He began to feel the strain half a mile from home, and finished well beaten. He previously fell when leading at Leicester two from home behind Chez Hans. It is difficult to know if he would have prevailed, but it would have been close at the very least. I am prepared to give him another chance and represents decent value at [6.2] on the exchange.
Rapper is the current favourite at [3.5] on the exchange. He is improving with racing, and should appreciate the extra yardage.
