75-year-old Kevin Wynne catches a loose horse at Cranbourne Turf Club
A 75-year-old outrider made a major grab on Friday night at the Cranbourne Turf Club in Victoria, catching a runaway loose horse while the production crew caught the whole thing on video. A clerk of the course for nearly 20 years as well as a former jumps jockey, Kevin Wynne told racingpost.com that he didn’t know what all the fuss was about.
“You’re out there to do a job and that it to help protect the jockeys and the horses,” Wynne said. “She didn’t make it easy for me and it took a couple of grabs but we got there in the end. I’m just happy everyone was okay.”
