ALL roads lead to Champions Day on Saturday, but there is some good action to kick start the week today.
The Sun Racing team have been studying the form and picked out their best bets and each-way picks for all of Monday’s cards.
3.50 Tarboosh – Talented sprinter has enjoyed a brilliant summer, winning three times. Excellent second in hot handicap at Hamilton latest and should be hard to beat back down in class.
4.20 Qasr – Did too much too soon when attempting to make all at Ayr last time. Worth another chance and expected to go well in first-time cheekpieces.
2.40 K Club – Wide margin winner on her debut in the spring and generally solid form in defeat since. Steps down in grade today and should take all the beating.
3.10 Outback Traveller – Classy performer in his pomp, landing the Wokingham at Royal Ascot in 2016. Hasn’t won since then but hinted at a return to form last time and undoubtedly well handicapped.
4.30 Rhigolter Rose – Course and distance winner from top yard who ran a solid race behind an emphatic winner at Thirsk last time. Return to this track will suit and this isn’t a strong race.
3.30 Lily Ash – Won a shade cosily at Beverley two starts ago and ran a solid fifth on the all-weather last time. Looks ready for this step up to 1m3f.
8.45 Handytalk – Dropped to a good mark and duly ran a cracker at Goodwood last time, finishing a close third. Only raised 1lb for that and found a good opening here.
6.15 Harry Hurricane – Not as good as he was a couple of years ago but ran well to finish second at Windsor two starts ago. Had excuses at Pontefract and has a good record on the all-weather.
