Timeform pick out their three best bets from Greyville on Sunday…
“…she stands out firmly on form, and is a strong fancy to pick up her first win since February 2018.”
Timeform on Twice As Smart
Marzipan Path is a ten-race maiden, but she’s been threatening to get off the mark of late, finishing second over C&D on each of her last three outings. It’s only a matter of time before she gets her head in front, and a repeat of the form she has been showing could be enough for her to take this lowly maiden.
Twice As Smart is a solid performer at this level, and she held her own really well in Group 3 company over C&D last month, finishing fourth. Dropped back into graduation company, she stands out firmly on form, and is a strong fancy to pick up her first win since February 2018. The gelding Graduate looks the biggest threat, though he has plenty to find on form.
Roy’s Novice is a longstanding maiden, she’s winless in 17 starts, but she’s been running reasonably well so far this year, a reproduction of her best form would make her very difficult to beat in this. She has to give weight to the field, and Call Me Tonight is a danger in receipt of an age allowance.
