THE winning run came to a narrow end yesterday, with Chica De La Noche second at Lingfield.

It kept up the form of the Simon Dow team and I stick with the yard for my Thursday NAP.

PACIFICADORA (Chelmsford, 4.55) should come on leaps and bounds for her debut effort at Kempton.

She was an expensive buy for the Dow yard and well-punted (14-1 to 6-1) before the off just over two weeks ago.

She raced in rear and travelled well throughout. The bend caught her out slightly coming home, but it looked like she got stuck in some traffic too.

When she found some space she took off and caught the eye to say the least.

The first and second should make up into decent horses for the Varian and Gosden yards and Pacificadora would have got plenty closer had she not been so far back.

She’ll get further in time but seven furlongs should suit for now and as long as she handles Chelmsford, I’m confident she’ll be a big player in what appears a slightly weaker race.

Elsewhere on Thursday…

I was very, very close to siding with GLENN COCO (Chelmsford, 5.25) as the NAP.

Stuart Williams is another firing in the winners and this chap will relish stepping back down to seven on better terms with likely favourite Scofflaw. I’ll be backing both.
