MY recent bout of seconditis continued at Carlisle on Sunday.

We ended the week with a healthy profit but it could easily have been a very special seven days indeed!

I love a bit of Plumpton over the sticks on a Monday afternoon, and I’ve got a strong fancy at the Sussex track.

LEGEND OF FRANCE (2.35) broke his duck over course and distance when last sighted.

Pat Phelan’s charge is a tricky customer, but he was always going well when striking here earlier in the month.

He jumped well and put the race to bed with a decent turn of foot from the back of the last flight.

The handicapper as stepped in and raised him 10lb, but he has been found a good opening here by his shrewd trainer.

Sean Houlihan is well worth his claim and takes off a valuable 5lb, while the forecast soft ground is a plus.

It will be a big disappointment if he can’t complete the Plumpton double.
