Willie Mullins sends a powerful team to Cork tomorrow where the champion trainer has every chance of landing the day’s feature with Lareena.
The €50,000 FBD Insurance Handicap Hurdle is the centrepiece of the day’s card and the Mullins mare makes plenty of appeal towards the foot of the weights.
She has just a maiden hurdle success to her name but she does look well treated on the form she has shown lately.
Lareena lines up with a rating of 113 after accounting for the 128-rated Awayinthewest at Thurles last time.
Previously she only narrowly lost out to Lackaneen Leader at Fairyhouse and that one is now rated 131.
All this points to the Mullins-trained mare being quite leniently treated and she can make the most of this good opportunity.
After an unplaced effort in the County Hurdle Bleu Et Rouge could also strike for Mullins in the conditions hurdle.
Meanwhile, Stay Humble is hard to oppose in the bumper which looks a much weaker race than the smart Fairyhouse event that he finished fourth
in just over a month
In the Grade 3 Imperial Call Chase it is impossible to look past the chances of the Gordon Elliott-trained Mala Beach.
The Troytown Chase winner comes into this off a dominant success in a conditions chase at Down Royal last week.
He had Val De Ferbet in third on that occasion and he should be able to confirm that form with last year’s winner.
