2.20 SOMETHING LUCKY (nb) has made life tough for himself. Following four solid placed efforts, since he last won, the handicapper has put him up 9lb. But he cannot be opposed in this weak affair.

He was unlucky on his latest start when hampered inside the final furlong.

Under the circumstances, he did well to finish half a length second behind Midnightly at Wolverhampton. He goes well on this track and can land a much deserved victory. Archimedes, whose last five races have been at this course, is the one to chase him home.

2.50 This should be a penalty kick for AVOCET who has shown considerable improvement since moving from Olly Murphy from Julia Feilden. She has won her last two races with something in hand and the handicapper has yet to have her measure. Ochos Rios failed to show his form on his latest start, at this track, when fifth behind Star Ascending whom he had beaten on his previous run.

Since that outing he has moved from Neil Mulholland to David Evans. But it is worth noting that his regular rider Fran Berry keeps the ride.

3.50 Olly Murphy can work his magic with NAPPING (treble). She showed ability when trained by Murphy’s mother, Anabel King, and this looks an ideal opportunity for her to open her account.

The handicapper has given this daughter of Sleeping Indian a chance.

She finished a respectable fourth behind Mercers at Kempton on her latest start. Hisar, who failed to land a gamble on his latest start when chasing home Sir Geoffrey here in January, will be the threat.

4.20 Despite his advancing years, MISTER MUSIC (nap) clearly retains his ability. Since the start of the year he has won two races at this track with something in hand. The handicapper, understandably, has put him up 4lb but it is unlikely to be enough to stop him. Zaeem, who has finished behind the selection in his two races, looks destined to come off second best again.
