Jose Ortiz celebrates the Cigar Mile win with Patternrecognition
Seth Klarman and William Lawrence’s Cigar Mile winner Patternrecognition recorded his third breeze toward the Pegasus World Cup last weekend, covering five furlongs at Palm Meadows in 1:02.05 for the fourth-fastest work of the morning.
The 6-year-old son of Adios Charlie has won his three most recent starts for trainer Chad Brown, including a victory in the Kelso (G2) at Belmont Park prior to his Cigar Mile score. The Pegasus is scheduled for Jan. 26 at Gulfstream Park.
