YORK is over for another year but there is still some quality fare at Goodwood, with the Group 3 Supreme Stakes the highlight on a cracking card.
The Sun Racing team have put their brains together to find you the best bets and each-way selections for every race across the country.
4.10 Dream Of Dreams – Been knocking on the door of late in good contests and this is his time to strike. Ran very well behind a much improved performer in Sir Dancealot last week and Sir Michael Stoute has brought him along slowly. Can win now dropped slightly in class.
3.00 Escalator – Slightly disappointing when sent off near favourite for a competitive handicap at Ascot, but he raced mainly on his own that day and nothing went right. Based on his two performances beforehand he still has plenty of room for improvement and can get back in the winning vein.
2.10 Withernsea – Seven-year-old takes a big drop in class here after contesting much higher grades in recent season. This is his best chance of victory for some time and it would be disappointing if he wasn’t good enough to take the opportunity.
3.15 Snazzy – Has been frustrating since winning easily on debut but has been contesting some very good races. Now takes a drop in grade and the application of a first-time visor can help her concentrate.
5.10 Spanish City – Good horses dropping in class seems to be the order of the day and Roger Varian’s talented five-year-old can make light work of his rivals here. He was last seen finishing sixth in the International Handicap at Ascot and a reproduction of that should be good enough.
4.35 My Target – A better horse on synthetics but has some good form on turf and is off a very low mark here. Hasn’t been in great form of late but if turning up he could eat these up for breakfast.
