Timeform pick out their three best bets from Exeter on Sunday…
“…he’s fancied to take this with more to come over hurdles.”
Timeform on Chambard
We haven’t seen too much of Chambard since his excellent bumper form in France in the autumn of 2016, though he took a big step back in the right direction when second over hurdles at Ffos Las last month, showing some spark for the first time over timber. He was ultimately well beaten by the winner, but it’s worth noting that he was the only rival to give him any kind of a race at all, and he’s fancied to take this with more to come over hurdles. Golden Promise would be a threat if replicating the form of his effort to finish second at Hereford in October, while bumper winner Haldon Hill is the type to make a hurdler and is worth a market check.
Catchin Time has generally been running with credit all season in better races than this, giving the impression that he would be able to capitalise if provided with a good opportunity. They won’t get much weaker than today’s contest, and as such he’s taken to pick up a deserved success for the Laura Hurley yard. Not many of these are in form, so Micras, who’s going through a good spell at the moment, could pose the biggest threat to the selection.
Printing Dollars hasn’t done too much wrong in two starts over hurdles so far, finishing second twice, most recently at Warwick on New Year’s Eve. She had no excuses last time, but has given the firm impression that a similar race would be well within her reach, and she’s likely to take some stopping at this level. Cedar Valley hasn’t achieved too much so far, but is open to progress and can give Printing Dollars the most to think about.
