Timeform pick out their three best bets from Naas on Sunday afternoon…
“…rates the type that should have even more to offer in this sphere…”
Timeform on Punches Cross
Battleoverdoyen – 13:50 Naas
Battleoverdoyen looked out of the top drawer when making a winning hurdling debut at Navan 3 weeks ago and can take this big step up in class in his stride. Tornado Flyer quickly made up into one of last season’s leading bumper performers and is another who is set to take high rank amongst the novice hurdlers after his successful debut in this sphere at Punchestown. Come To Me is best of the rest.
Punches Cross – 14:20 Naas
Punches Cross is very much going the right way over fences, getting off the mark in good style on handicap debut over C&D last time, overcoming weakness in the market. He won that race in ready fashion, and rates the type that should have even more to offer in this sphere, so is fancied to follow up his recent C&D victory with further progress on the cards. Arvico Blue and Quamino are feared.
Missy Tata looked a live candidate for the Mares’ Hurdle at Cheltenham when landing a five-timer over hurdles back in 2016 and whilst her subsequent absence is an obvious concern, it would come as no surprise to see this good-topped mare make a winning return switched to fences. High School Days boasts a bright recent chase outing and is feared, along with Meri Devie.
