Just the two runners and POTTERMAN should be able to improve on his win at Huntingdon last time and get the better of Sonic.
He may have needed that run over a slightly longer trip after three months off and he should be able to go on from here.
FAIR MOUNTAIN was well backed before finishing second at Ludlow on his hurdling debut last time, coming back from a year off the track.
He was asked to make up a lot of ground late on which proved beyond him.
Hopefully he will have learned from that, be a little fitter, and race closer to the pace today.
ZOLFO was very impressive when winning on his return from 10 months off over course and distance last time.
The handicapper has acted by putting him up by 8lb but that looks fair enough for such a convincing victory.
This ground suits and there should be a lot more to come.
DJARKEVI is taking a step up in distance for this handicap debut after showing promise over 2m when second in novice company at Ludlow last time out.
That looked a decent race with the front two pulling nicely clear. He should have a lot more to offer and starts from a fair handicap mark.
IRISH OCTAVE battled right to the line when winning by a short-head over this trip at Warwick last time out. He is 5lb higher for that but this race doesn’t look any stronger and he should be right there again.
HELLO FELLAS improved for stepping up to 2m4f last time and should find this extra hike in distance even more to his liking. He was a good second at Perth latest and shaped as though he had more left in the tank. Court Affairs looks the main danger after an encouraging handicap debut at Newton Abbot last time.
